The story

Coastal classic, reimagined.

The palette stays soft and sunlit, keeping the home's original architectural bones intact while layering in relaxed upholstery, warm wood tones and classic pattern. The coastal influence is subtle and intentional, woven textures, light linen drapery and sandy neutrals, so the foyer, dining room, kitchen, breakfast nook and living room transition into each other while each still keeps its own personality.

The palette relies on contrast through texture rather than color: linen, cane, rattan, wool, warm oak, walnut, ceramic and brass.

Space planning

The full-home flow.

A scaled furniture plan clarifies how the foyer, dining room, kitchen, breakfast nook and living room connect visually and functionally, dimensions, clearances, circulation and sightlines, not just what looks good in a photo. Every room ships with its own numbered furniture key. The repeated brass, soft drapery, warm wood and pale upholstery make the spaces feel related without copying one another.

Every space, resolved.

Foyer

A slim brass-and-marble console, a round woven mirror, soft sconces and layered tabletop styling create a quiet arrival moment, aligned on-axis with the dining table beyond.

Styling + install

Hang the mirror first, centered over the console, then add sconces symmetrically once its placement is confirmed. The console is styled in three zones: a small stack of books with a sculptural object on one side, a shallow catch-all bowl or tray at center, and a soft vase with a few loose stems on the other.

Dining Room

Classic, soft, not stiff. A rectangular table pairs with slipcovered host chairs and wood side chairs for a room that's polished without trying too hard. A soft rug grounds the space, and lamplight on the sideboard keeps dinners running past dessert.

Styling + install

Center the table with the sideboard and pendant, and keep circulation clear near the sideboard. Hang drapery rods high and wide so linen panels reach the floor without hovering. Keep the tabletop to one low centerpiece so sightlines and conversation stay open, and set artwork 6-8 inches above the sideboard at eye level.

Kitchen + Breakfast Nook

Light, textured, functional. Ribbed-glass pendants and woven counter stools freshen the island without competing with the kitchen's architecture. Spindle-back chairs in sage tie the nook back to the dining room, and a dome pendant over the round table keeps the corner feeling relaxed.

Styling + install

Keep island counters mostly clear, one tray, one vase, daily-use pieces only, and confirm pendant height against the sightline from the kitchen into the nook before finalizing cord length. Center the table under the pendant, then place the chairs evenly so the set reads intentional from the living room.

Living Room

A layered family room, upgraded. The sectional anchors the room; patterned pillows, woven storage, brass lighting and a fireplace mirror add warmth, depth and polish for everyday life.

Styling + install

Pull the sectional and chair's front legs onto the rug to connect the seating group, then mix large solids, small stripes and pattern for pillows rather than a matching set. Chandelier, table lamp and floor lamp work together for evening depth. Console and ottoman styling stays intentionally asymmetrical, book stacks, a low vase with branches, one sculptural object, with about a third of each surface left visually quiet.
