FAQ

modern glam home office
  • How do I create a floor plan if I do not have one?
You can follow the instructions here
  • What if I’m on a budget? Do you have minimums?
No project is too small—there are zero minimums!
  • What is the average budget?
It all depends on the vendor and how much you are replacing. To fully furnish (furniture and decor) a budget-friendly room I would budget between $5-8k, for mid-range $8-15k and high-end $15k+. These of course are estimates and depend on the exact room type. Budget-friendly Vendors could include- IKEA, Walmart, Target, Amazon, Wayfair etc Mid-Range Vendors could include- West Elm, Crate & Barrel, Anthropologie, Article, Four Hands etc High-End Vendors could include- Design Within Reach, Visual Comfort, 1st Dibs, Restoration Hardware, Jonathan Adler etc
  • Can you design beyond your own style, or is it all about what you like?
Absolutely! Whether you're into neutral, calming vibes or bold, statement-making spaces, I’ll design it to match your style and make it feel 100% you.
  • What if I am not happy with the final design?
My goal is to really get your style, so I’m always listening and keeping the lines of communication open to make sure the final design feels 100% you. If you're not feeling the end result, no worries—I’m happy to tweak things until you absolutely love it!
  • Do you do commercial projects?
Absolutely, as long as there are no structural changes! I’m all about designing stylish personal offices and waiting rooms. They're some of my favorite spaces to transform!
  • Who would make a great virtual design client?
You're comfortable communicating virtually through email, video calls, or phone calls. You enjoy hands-on projects and can manage your own project & timeline. You decide when you want to install and purchase your items. You want stylish improvements but might feel limited by a budget. You seek affordable yet impactful solutions. You have a busy lifestyle and you prefer quick, efficient solutions. You get overwhelmed by choices and options and you seek guidance in making design decisions that feel authentic to your style. You can provide an accurate floorplan with dimensions and photos. You're comfortable hiring and managing contractors, movers, painters or any other third party necessary to install the design.
  • What if I don’t know what my style is or can’t articulate it for you?
That is not a problem! This is what the Client Questionnaire is for. You can send me images you like or a Pinterest board. We will figure it out!
  • What if I already have a large item like a sofa. Can you design around it?
    Yes!
  • I need the design faster than two weeks? Can you expedite the process?
Let’s talk! We may be able to expedite the process depending on availability and project scope. Reach out, and we’ll see how we can accommodate your timeline.
  • Can you find me a contractor and manage them?
Unfortunately, no. I can’t give contractor referrals since I’m not familiar with your local options. But I’d definitely recommend checking out online reviews and getting references before choosing. With e-design, you’re in charge of the execution—it’s the more affordable route because you get to implement the design on your own timeline!
  • Do you offer package discounts for multiple rooms?
Let's talk! Shoot me an e-mail and tell me about your project.
  • What is in the Accessories Package?
The Accessories Package is designed to add those final personal touches that make the space feel “you.” Depending on the area we’re accessorizing, it’ll include a mix of things like vases, books, art, trays, pillows, candle holders, mirrors, and plants. I’ll also leave room for any of your own meaningful pieces—whether it's something you’ve collected on a trip, a gift, or just something you love. The goal is to create a space that feels collected, not cluttered, and is full of personality.
  • Where do you source from?
It really depends on your budget, but I always prioritize quality in my selections. I often source from spots like CB2, Lulu and Georgia, and Pottery Barn. I also use a procurement partner which sources from hundreds of vendors only available to the design trades. This partner offers free shipping, with optional white glove delivery (fee calculated before purchase). We can discuss this before we begin the design process. That said, if you’ve found something you love, no matter where it’s from, I’m more than happy to work it into the design!
  • Do you handle the sourcing of furnishings yourself?
I handle all the legwork for you by sourcing everything you need and putting together a killer shopping list that includes purchase instructions, quantities, links—everything you need to make it super easy!
  • Can I shop around for the best price for an item or replace it with an item I like better?
Feel free to shop around and do whatever you'd like with your final design, but I always try to find the best price available for you.
  • What if a product you have recommended is no longer available?
If this happens within 30 days of getting the shopping list, I’ll find an alternative for you. But, if I’ve sourced sale items to fit your budget, I can’t guarantee a replacement will be available. Definitely snag those sale pieces first!
